I'm excited about the great results from taking a chance on something totally new and outside my comfort zone -- I joined a girls' tribe, helped plan a totally outrageous party, had a number of feelings about what could have been better, and then gave some honest feedback to the group... I usually am a private, positive person and feel totally uncomfortable speaking publicly in any way, but got past being nervous about it and even witnessed several people responding in kind and even telling me they benefited from my speaking out.
Yay!
Yay!

Re: DID IT: spoke my mind!
Mon, April 3, 2006 - 5:15 PMgood for you!! right on sister!!
I have been doing something for myself that feels good. You know how people trash other people b/c they have nothing better to do. Well i really don't like it when people take that liberty. so first, i am nipping that in the bud by cutting people off from doing that. Asking them if this'll serve the larger good.
then there were some people that I reacted to not because of what I thought of them, but what others remarked about them. I have apologized to some people for being rude to them based on other people's opinions of them. And I have told others what I have heard about them only to dispell holding on to information that again, did not serve the greater good.
all with tact of course.
It feels really good to be honest and speak my mind too!! -
